THE CHAMPS ÉLYSÉES & THE PALAIS DES CONGRÈS
A crossroads bridging yesterday and tomorrow. At the Porte Maillot, the skyscraper housing the Palais des Congrès offers four large amphitheaters, whose largest can seat 3,700 people. This modern architectural complex is centrally located between la Défense business district, the Bois de Boulogne, Neuilly and the Place de l’Étoile. It bustles with activity year-round, with major shows and well-known international business congresses. On the other part the Avenue of the Champs-Elysées lives up to its reputation as the "world’s most beautiful avenue" more and more each year. Around it and between the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Concorde are luxury stores, famous restaurants and night clubs, five-star hotels, prestigious entertainment venues as the Lido or the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and the most popular museums and monuments in Paris like the Arc de Triomphe or the Grand Palais.

ARC DE TRIOMPHE
Located on Place de l'Étoile, at the top of Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe is the largest arch in the world. It was built in 1806, at Napoleon's request, to celebrate his victory at Austerlitz. Beneath the arch is the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, whose flame is rekindled every evening at 6.30pm. At the top of the monument, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Paris, day and night, and a museum retracing its history inside the arch completes the visit.
